Columbus Lions Set to Open 20th Anniversary Season with White Out Home Opener Featuring Tonio Armani

Columbus, GA — The Columbus Lions are proud to announce their highly anticipated 2026 Home Opener, kicking off the franchise’s historic 20th anniversary season in style.
Opening Night will take place on Thursday, April 16th at the Columbus Civic Center and will be a “White Out Night”, encouraging all fans to wear white as we unite the city and create an electric atmosphere to start the season.
The night will feature special entertainment from national recording artist Tonio Armani, who will perform both the National Anthem and a live halftime show. In addition, the talented G.W. Carver High School Mighty Marching Tigers will bring energy and excitement with a special performance.
As part of the 20th anniversary season celebration, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a FREE official ROAR Towel, helping turn the Civic Center into a sea of white and blue as the Lions take the field.
“This is more than just a game — this is a celebration of 20 seasons of Columbus Lions football and the community that has supported us every step of the way,” said General Manager Corry Black. “We are committed to creating an unforgettable game day experience for our fans, and Opening Night will set the tone for everything we’re building this season.”
